Vast in character, luscious and complex, with maple syrup from Red Brook Farm (Sam’s family farm in Western Massachusetts), peat-smoked barley and vanilla.
Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine (CA) – 9.6%
Brimming with bold flavors of bittersweet malt and heaps of aggressive whole-cone Pacific Northwest hops, it’s a strong, robust, bruiser of a beer with the refined intensity of a wine. Bigfoot is prized by beer collectors for its supreme cellarability.
Great Divide Old Ruffian (CO) – 10.2%
Seemingly mellow at the start with subtle fruit aromas and complex caramel sweetness, it quickly becomes aggressive with its bold hop flavors and huge hop bitterness.
Red Brick Beard Envy (GA) – 9.3%
With flavors of toffee, raisins and dark fruit accentuated by vanilla and a hint of bourbon balanced by the resinous pine notes of Chinook hops, this barrel-aged barley wine masterwork is as bold and hearty as the beards we salute.
21st Amendment Lower DeBoom (CA) – 11.5%
A powerfully balanced American-Style barleywine packed with citrusy Pacific Northwest hops. Chestnut brown in the glass with notes of toffee malt, fruitcake, toast, piney hops and more than a hint of alcohol.
Bell’s Third Coast Old Ale (MI) – 10.2%
Focusing on malt, it offers notes of burnt caramel & other earthy malt flavors. Designed with vintage aging in mind, the malt aspect is matched to a heavy complement of hops. Sharply bitter at first, this will fold into the malt character over time and balance out the maltiness.
Wild Heaven Civilization (GA) – 12.0%
Built on the backbone of a classic English Barleywine with the addition of dried Prussian lemons, tart cherries, and cranberries. Dark fruit abounds with roasted goodness in each sip.
